Summary: Zargon tries to duel Shaeth. It does not go well for Zargon, but not for the usual reasons.
Note: One God's Story of Mid-Life Crisis follows the adventures of Shaeth, former God of Evil, as he takes up a new practice as God of Drunks. Being good is far more challenging than Shaeth imagined, but he is slowly starting to get the hang of it. This would be easier were it not for certain individuals from his past who keep trying to relate to him based on his previous sphere of influence. This series has a lot of dark or wry humor.

This poem came out of the April 2013 Muse Fusion in Torn World. It was inspired by a prompt from LiveJournal user Vaerys, along with continued discussions about touch aversion as an everyday challenge rather than something that has to be "cured." It is a sequel to "Stinging Like Nettles."

In the Northern culture of Torn World, children are raised collectively rather than by pairs of parents. Here Lekeeth shows sympathy for someone with a similar challenge to her own touch aversion. If you're new to the science-fantasy setting of Torn World, you might want to start here.
