This would be easier were it not for certain individuals from his past who keep trying to relate to him based on his previous sphere of influence. This series has a lot of dark or wry humor.

This poem came out of the April 2013 Muse Fusion in Torn World. It was inspired by a prompt from LiveJournal user Vaerys, along with continued discussions about touch aversion as an everyday challenge rather than something that has to be "cured." It is a sequel to "Stinging Like Nettles."

In the Northern culture of Torn World, children are raised collectively rather than by pairs of parents. Here Lekeeth shows sympathy for someone with a similar challenge to her own touch aversion. If you're new to the science-fantasy setting of Torn World, you might want to start here.

Title: "Hallowing"
Colors: Sunlight #13 Consummate
Supplies and Styles: None.
Word Count: 783
Rating: PG
Warnings: This poem deals with recovery from rape/PTSD, including some parts that suck extra much on account of the survivor being a goddess. It is positive unto itself, but the background may be more than some readers wish to deal with. There is no Magical Healing C*** of any kind in this poem, just a good support network, a well-designed ritual, and some nonsexual loving touch.

The following poem belongs to my series Path of the Paladins. This is spiritual fantasy about the followers of a deposed goddess. Themes include faith, perseverance, recovery from trauma, nonsexual love, and making the world a better place. If you want some of the background for what happened to Gailah, I recommend "Shine On," "A Night More Full," and "The Weight of the Day."

Themes include faith, perseverence, recovery from trauma, nonsexual love, and making the world a better place. This is a direct sequel to "This Beaten Drum" so it won't make much sense unless you've read that one first, but you probably don't need the whole series if you're new to it.
