Warm Light 12, Cadmium Yellow 18: Choice
Author: Kat
Title: Choice
Story: In the Heart
Colors: Warm light 12 (So come to me my love, I'll tap into your strength and drain it dry), cadmium yellow 18 (Art is never finished, only abandoned.)
Supplies and Materials: Miniature, graffiti (Lilith Faire Village Stage Mission Street, Vienna Teng), tapestry (warm light/seed beads), seed beads
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
Summary: Just because she had no regrets, didn't mean she wasn't sorry.
Warnings: none
Notes: This feels scattered to me. Thoughts?
Contrary to what Nathan apparently believed, none of it was easy for Melanie.
She loved her family. She didn't like her life, but what woman did? Especially when she had a small child and a husband at sea. And no, Melanie didn't regret leaving, but that didn't mean she wasn't sorry.
She made mistakes. She hurt her husband-- ex-husband-- and her son. But leaving... no. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't a mistake. She was back where she needed to be.
If that place was "away," if she ached when she thought about home, well.
She had no other choice.
