Sometimes actions really do speak louder than words.")
Word Count: 159

Characters: Telri
Warnings: References to blood-magic and stigma against blood mages.

He's going to leave.
Telri knew that; it was as sure as the rain beating on the roof above them. He knew what she was now, and he wouldn't stay. She was going to lose the one person she felt--she felt good, and safe, and normal with him. Losing him hurt already, and it hadn't really happened yet. It would always hurt.
But the alternative would have been letting him die. He fell, he hit his head so hard--he would have fallen asleep and never woken up. It was an easy decision to make. And she would accept the consequences, because Isshiri, gone, was an infinitely better prospect than Isshiri--gone.
She leaned against the wall and closed her eyes, listening to the rain, and adjusting her heartbeat to match his.
He's going to leave. Enjoy this while you have it. Because when he wakes up, he's going to leave.
Telri tried her hardest not to cry.

Nope, he doesn't leave. He does freak out initially, but he's mostly worked through that by the time he regains consciousness and they hug a lot and he doesn't leave. But she doesn't know that yet, and...yeah.
