CAMERA: Pans over a book, the pages flutter in the wind. A gloved hand slams the book closed.
VOICEOVER 1: When the world was new, there were powers and we were the highest of them all. It was then that we were attacked and our powers deadened by a poison. One of us was sent to another realm in the hopes that they, one day, will make it right.

A boy, alone and bored with the world tries to tell everyone that he knows things that no one can know. In waking he can tell the secrets of the world. In his dreams he can do even more. His sister, Amy tells him that their whole family died of a strange illness, but James knows there must be more.

When Amy finally succumbs to her illness a stranger arrives. She tells him of a book, a key, and a destiny that only he can unlock. James is secretly the lost heir of an ancient magical hold in a distant kingdom that has been ravaged by war since his family became ill. When James arrives on the battlefield he is greeted as King-General and given a warhorse.
