Summary: The Governor falls.
The Paths are open before you; the mountainside rolls down behind you. The creatures are there once more; impossible wolves and birds of snow. They breathe on you, and here it is again. Ice and despair and death that swallowed you once before, long ago, and here now through the Paths, the rift in the world where there is no past or present.
This is what does it—not teeth, claws, accusations. This is where you will always fall to in the end; the only country you never truly leave—back to the Mistlands, lost in the waste of winter.
